Terms & Conditions
General Terms
By placing an order with Alkaré, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Alkaré is a handcrafted chocolate atelier based in Sydney, Australia. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time; the version in effect at the time of your order applies to that order.
Products & Ordering
All products are handmade in small batches using premium Belgian couverture chocolate. Subtle variations in appearance are part of the artisanal character of each piece. Orders are only confirmed once payment has been successfully processed and a confirmation email has been issued.
Pricing & Payment
All prices are listed and charged in Australian Dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable. Payments are processed securely through Stripe. Alkaré does not store your card details. Prices are subject to change without notice.
Order Cut-off & Production Schedule
Orders placed before 2:00 PM AEST will be prepared for next-day delivery. Orders placed after 2:00 PM AEST will be prepared the following day. Our chocolates require a natural crystallization and setting window to ensure perfection.
Delivery & Pick-up Policy
We offer delivery within Sydney & NSW via Sherpa Courier Service. Pick-up from our Sydney studio is available by appointment. Risk of loss passes to the customer upon delivery or collection. We are not responsible for delays caused by third-party carriers or incorrect delivery information provided at checkout.
Cancellations & Refunds
Due to the handcrafted and perishable nature of our products, cancellations are only accepted before production has begun. Refunds or replacements may be issued at our discretion in cases where products arrive damaged or are clearly defective. Please contact us within 24 hours of receipt.
Allergen Disclaimer
Our products are produced in a kitchen that handles milk, soy, tree nuts, peanuts, wheat/gluten, and sulphites. Although every care is taken, traces of other allergens (including sesame and eggs) may be present. Customers with severe allergies should contact us before ordering.
Intellectual Property
All branding, imagery, recipes, packaging, and written content on this website are the intellectual property of Alkaré and may not be reproduced, distributed, or used without prior written consent.
Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
